Artwork inspired by: Paige Bradley

Background: Paige Bradley is a figurative artist, who finds the human figure to be "the perfect vehicle to communicate the human condition". Her inspiration comes from her connections and relationships in life. Her own journey inspires her enough to create her work. She moves her work forward by continuously "questioning, observing, looking for truth and searching for clarity".
Inspiration: I was inspired by Paige Bradley's work with light. I found it very interesting how she used light in her pieces and manipulated it though the cracks, which enhanced her sculptures. I used black glaze, so that when the light shines through the cracks in my piece, the focus would be on the lights, like Bradley. I also used red lights in my sculpture because I felt it would go better with the black glaze. Instead of a serene expression like Bradley did on her sculptures, I went with a more surprised expression with mine. I wanted to show shock, since it is like he is surprised he has light shining out of his face.
